Roy-Hart’s girls varsity field hockey and softball teams will enjoy improved facilities for their games in the future thanks to a community support project spearheaded by the Roy-Hart Sports Boosters Club. Thanks to a major donation of materials and labor by two Gasport firms, All Metal Works and A Superior Concrete, the field hockey and softball teams will each be able to utilize two new large all metal dugouts. Here Frank Maynard, right, representing the Sports Boosters Club, checks out one of the completed dugouts on the varsity field hockey field with Dominick Ciliberto of All Metal Works, left, and Dave Hill of A Superior Concrete.

Maynard, Hill and Cilberto here stand between the two dugouts for the field hockey field that have been completed and were utilized by the Lady Rams squad for the last part of the season. They noted that three other individuals, Jeff Heiser, Chuck Gieoli and Ryan Townsend, also provided a good deal of volunteer manpower to help get the dugouts constructed. “They are just a bunch of great guys and we really appreciate all they have done,” said Maynard of all the volunteers.

Work is also underway for the two dugouts on the varsity softball field as the metal frameworks are already in place.
